Biofeedback function

Adherence to individually appropriate training variables is essential for optimal success in therapy as well as in fitness. That’s why the FINNLO MED 3.0 ergometer offers the option of comparing the current training performance with the defined presets and to visualise this by means of coloured biofeedback.

The green backlight during training indicates that you are already training in the optimal range. On the other hand, when the display is illuminated in blue, this indicates that you are below your preset value, have a cadence that is too low, or are in a warm-up phase. An orange light appears when you exceed or fall below predefined limits and reminds you immediately of the optimal level of your training intensity.

The biofeedback function can be used in the Watt-sensitive, Heart Rate, Isokinetics, Therapy and Calorie training programs, supports you in your training or in monitoring your patients, and increases training compliance.

Innovative training computer

The professional training computer of the FINNLO MED 3.0 ergometer enables optimal training management and user-friendly menu navigation. The high-quality multi-colour LCD display impresses with its good legibility and structured display of all relevant training parameters such as training duration, distance, calorie consumption, speed, heart rate, level, speed & watts, as well as various average values. Depending on the training program, individual target values can be set, which allow visual feedback in real time via a graphic display.

With the MED 3.0, a total of 11 different programs can be used for training, and can be customised further. This keeps the training varied as well as effective and entertaining.

Thanks to the RS-232 interface, diagnostic recordings using various external devices are easily possible and ensure precise performance diagnostics and training management.

Heart rate training

Heart-rate controlled training is a widespread standard in training management and offers users, from patients to professionals, valid feedback on acute training stress. That’s why the FINNLO MED 3.0 has a particularly user-friendly heart rate program, an optional chest strap and a coded Polar receiver (5 kHz). After defining the target frequency, the program helps you to achieve the correct training intensity via biofeedback and automatically controls your training in case of deviations.

Watt sensitive

In addition to the precise manual control in 5-watt steps from 15-750 watts, you can complete a watt-constant and optimally regulated medical training session using the watt-sensitive program. In order to avoid overloads at decreasing speeds and increasing intensity, a speed limit is entered when the program is specified, below which the pedal resistance is strongly reduced.

Therapy intervals

Whether in rehabilitation or performance – individually adapted interval training promotes aerobic capacity and economises muscle work. To prevent the resistance from becoming too great, a maximum wattage and speed is defined, at which the pedal force is significantly reduced. Regardless of the resistance, the MED 3.0 has a safe freewheel function.

Isokinetics

This form of training, from rehabilitation and competitive sports, enables a customisable and flexible control of intensity at a constant speed. This makes isokinetic training suitable for mobilising joints as well as for training functional hypertrophy or strength and can be adapted at any time.

Accessible and ergonomic training

The open and extra wide step-through of the MED 3.0 makes it particularly easy for you to start training. With maximum clearance for easy and pain-free mounting and dismounting, the MED 3.0 specifically meets the requirements of people with limited mobility and enables efficient health training in all situations.

Clever details

With sophisticated details, this ergometer lives up to its name and supports your body in its natural movement. The knee-friendly pedal spacing of 17 cm and the crank length of 17.5 cm allow for minimal joint stress even at higher resistances. For users with an existing flexion deficits in the knee joint, the optional retrofit with the length-adjustable V-crank (art. no. 3471) offers a tool-free quick adjustment of 120 mm (55-175 mm).

The flywheel, with an intrinsic weight of 10 kg, and the gear ratio of 1:10 ensure increased movement inertia and thus improved concentricity. This means that even users with limited performance always experience a smooth and gentle pedal stroke.

During training, the built-in SKF quality ball bearings and the custom-made drive with Poly-V belt ensure a quiet and smooth motion. Thanks to the integrated induction brake system, training with the MED 3.0 runs reliably smoothly even with increasing resistance.

The integrated generator means that the MED 3.0 can be positioned flexibly in the room and makes external power sources unnecessary. In addition to the increased energetic-economic advantages, the connection of a power cable, which could become a trip hazard especially for people with limited mobility, is no longer necessary. Secure seat position

The comfortable saddle can be adjusted horizontally up to 65 mm and vertically in 15 steps with just one hand movement and enables all users between 1.30 m and 2.10 m tall to always find an ergonomic training position.

Robust handlebars

The handlebar offers different grip variations for different arm lengths, is made of sweat-resistant rubber and is easy to clean.
